JUNE 19: REMEMBERING FREEDOM -RECALLING THE PRAISE HOUSE AS A DRUM, the @praisehouseproject celebrates #juneteenth2026 at @southview_cemetery

Anchored by a drum and dance procession by @giwayenmata and an evening performance by vocalist @juliedexter , the day begins with a historic tour at 4 PM and ends with an illumination of the Praise House.

The celebration will honor the African American history of our city and the over 80,000 ancestors who rest at South-View Cemetery.

💥 7PM - Illumination of the Praise House

💥 8PM - Porch Performance by jazz vocalist, Julie Dexter at the New Freedom studio, 1884 Jonesboro Rd. SE.

💥 9PM - Open mic
