Gullah Geechee Heritage Tour 

Join the Praise House Project's Gullah Geechee Heritage Tour. This immersive three-day learning experience will take audiences to some of the most significant sites of African American history and Gullah Geechee culture, including the Penn Center on St. Helena Island during the Heritage Day Festival. VIsit the historic Mary Jenkins Praise House, the Coffin Point Praise House, Mitchellville Freedom Park, First African Baptist Church in Savannah, and other important landmarks of Black resilience and freedom. Through this journey, audiences will deepen their understanding of cultural preservation, shared Southern history, and community stewardship. See below all related details.

DEPARTING TIME: Friday, November 13th @ 9am from 938 Rowland Street, Clarkston GA, 30021 (making a second stop at Stonecrest Mall at the McDonald’s at the corner.

RETURN TIME: Monday, November 16th by 9pm. First stop by Stonecrest, final stop in Clarkston

DISTANCE: 4.5 hours
